<p>RDS provides the following billing methods:</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Subscription (monthly)</strong>&mdash;The bill is paid upon the instance creation.</p> <p><img src="https://obs-cn-shanghai.yun.pingan.com/pcp-portal/20200107154301-1211538495bb.png" style="height:22px; margin:0px; width:90px" />:&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp;1.&nbsp; An instance of monthly subscription is billed by a minimum of one month. Even if the instance is used for one day, it will be charged with a fee of one month.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp;2.&nbsp; You can use one of the following methods to renew the payment:</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Manual renewal</strong>&mdash;You can manually renew the purchased resources in the console.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Automatic renewal</strong>&mdash;After automatic renewal is enabled, the system checks user account balance before the RDS service expires. If the account balance is sufficient, the system automatically renews the payment at the expiration time. If the account balance is insufficient, the system notifies the user to top up the account.</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Pay-As-You-Go (by hour)</strong>&mdash;The system generates a billing order each day and deducts your Ping An Cloud account balance based on the order.</p> <p>The purchase guidelines for the two billing methods are as follows:</p> <p>1.&nbsp; If you use the service for a long term, we recommend that you use the subscription (monthly) method because bigger discount will be offered for longer duration of the service.</p> <p>2.&nbsp; If you use the service for a short term, we recommend that you use the pay-as-you-go method. When you do not use the service, it will be released, which saves money.</p> <p>3.&nbsp; For RDS MySQL service, you can change its the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription. For more information, see <a href="http://pinganyun.com/ssr/help/database/RDS/Pricing.Change_Payment_Method" target="_blank">Change Billing Method</a>.</p> <p>4.&nbsp; For RDS PostgreSQL service, the subscription billing method and the pay-as-you-go billing method cannot be swapped.</p>
