Apply for IP Bandwidth

The article describes how to apply for IP bandwidth in South China 1, Hong Kong, North China 1.

Prerequisites

1.You have successfully created an ECS. For more information, see the article for creating ECS.

2.You have successfully created an VPC. See Create VPC.

Procedures

Step 1: Create NAT Gateway

1.Log in to the VPC Console.

2.In the left navigation pane, click NAT Gateway to enter the NAT Gateway page.

3.Select the target region, and in the upper-right corner click Create.

4.Entering the Create NAT Gateway page, select the VPC that is the same with the ECS Instance, select Specification and enter description.

5.Click Purchase to enter the Order Confirmation page.

6.Click Confirm Open, entering the Payment Result page.

7.Click Console to go back to the NAT Gateway page.

Note: One VPC can only create one NAT gateway.

Step 2: Create a Bandwidth Package

1.Enter the NAT Gateway page, select the target region and click the target host name.

2.Click Bandwidth tab, and in the upper-right corner click Create.

3.Entering Create Broadband page, input bandwidth needed, and select Internet IP amount.

4.Click Purchase to enter the Order Confirmation page.

5.Click Confirm Open, entering the Payment Result page.

6.Click Console to go back to the NAT Gateway page.

Note:

  •  Internet IPs will be auto-generated after the creation of a bandwidth package. A maximum of five packages (a maximum of five IPs for each) can be applied for each NAT gateway.
  •  It is only charged based on the fixed bandwidth, and Internet IP instances will not be charged.

Step 3: Bind an Internet IP to ECS

1.Enter the NAT Gateway page, select the target region and click the target host name.

2.Click DNAT Rule tab, and in the upper-right corner click Create.

3.On the Create DNAT Rule page, select mapping type, Internet IP and ECS instance, add an instance, and enter description.

4.Click Create.

Note: One Internet IP cannot be used in DNAT and SNAT at the same time.

Result

After creation, you can view information in the rule list. Then the Internet IP is bound to an ECS instance
