Stop an Instance

<p>This article describes how to stop an instance.</p> <p><strong>Prerequisites</strong></p> <p>The ECS instance is in the status of <strong>running</strong>. Instances that are stopped or being restarted cannot be stopped.</p> <p><strong>Usage Guidelines</strong></p> <p>After the ECS instance is stopped:</p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Instance of subscription is still charged.</li> <li>&nbsp;Instance of Pay-As-You-Go will be stopped charging in terms of CPU and memory resource. It will be charged again after starting.</li> <li>Data disks that are mounted to the instance of Pay-As-You-Go and the purchased Internet IP are still charged.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Procedures</strong></p> <p>1．Log in to the<a href="#https://yun.pingan.com/console/ecs/overview" target="_blank"> ECS Console</a>.</p> <p>2．In the left navigation pane, click <strong>Instance</strong> to enter the <strong>Instance Management</strong> page.</p> <p>3．Select the target region. In the operation column of the target instance, click <strong>More &gt; Status Management &gt; Stop</strong>.</p> <p>4．In the dialog box of <strong>Stop Instance</strong> that opens, click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p>5．In the dialog box of<strong> Verification Code</strong> that opens, enter the verification code received on your cellphone.</p> <p>6．Click <strong>Confirm</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong></p> <p><strong>Stop</strong> below the instance list is for bulk operations. If you want to conduct bulk operation, you can click<strong> Stop</strong> after selecting multiple instances.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong></p> <p>The instance status turns into <strong>Pending</strong> and will be <strong>Stopped</strong> after completion.</p>
