This article describes how to create an internal ELB instance.

Prerequisites

You have purchased VPC, and created network domain and subnet successfully. For more information, see Quick Start of VPC.

Limitations

Currently, only North China 1, South China 1 and Hong Kong Availability Zones support creating internal ELB instances.

Procedures

1. Log in to the ELB Console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Instance Management to enter the Instance Management page.

3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Create to enter the Create ELB Instance page.

4. Create an internal ELB instance as described in the following tables.

Billing Option

Configuration item	Description
Billing method	Select the billing method of the ELB instance, support By Volume and Prepaid billing method. The billing unit price is zero. Currently, internal ELB instances do not charge any fees. You can choose any billing method.

Configuration Information

Configuration item	Description
Region	Select the region in which the internal ELB instance is created. Note: Currently, only North China 1, South China 1 and Hong Kong Availability Zone support the creation of internal ELB instances.
Type of AZ	Select Single AZ or Multi-usable Area. Some regions only support Single AZ.
Zone	Select availability zone.
Network type	Select Private Net as the network type.
Network type	There is only By traffic one option, you do not need to select.
VPC	Choose in which VPC to create an ELB instance.
Network domain	Choose which network domain to create an ELB instance.
Subnet	Choose in which subnet to create an ELB instance.
Description	Customize the description of the instance.

Purchase Options

Configuration item	Description
Purchasing period	For the prepaid instance, you need to choose the purchase period from one month to three years.
Automatic renewal	For the prepaid instance, you can choose to enable the Auto Renew function with one-month renewal period by default.
Purchase quantity	Select the number of ELB instances you want to purchase. You can purchase a maximum of five ELB instances at one time.

5. Click Confirm and enter the Order Confirmation page.

6. Click Confirm and enter the Payment Result page.

Result

Method 1:

1. On the Payment Result page, click View Order to enter the Order Management page.

2. Click the Order Number of the newly created ELB instance to view the details of the order.

Method 2:

In the left navigation pane, click Instance Management, and then select the target region on the Instance Management page to view the newly created instance.
