It only supports scheduled key pair deletion. When you schedule the deletion of a key pair, KMS does not delete it immediately. You can specify a waiting period from 7 to 30 days, after which KMS deletes the key pair. During the waiting period, you can cancel the key pair deletion. After the waiting period ends, KMS permanently deletes the key pair. Schedule the deletion of a key pair with caution. </p> <div class="note important note_important"><span class="note__title">Important:</span> <p class="p">Before deleting a key pair, make sure you do not need the key pair now or in the future. </p> <p class="p"> You are not billed for a key pair in the status of PENDING_DELETE. However, if you cancel the key pair deletion during the waiting period, you are charged for it again.
