Overview

<p>SNAT translates the private IP assigned by the ECS in the VPC into the public IP and builds the access to the Internet. Thus, multiple cloud server instances in the designated subnet of the DMZ network domain in the VPC can access the Internet through one designated public IP.</p> <p>SNAT is initiated by an private IP to enable the shared IP addresses on the intranet to access the Internet. It only provides active access to the Internet, rather than providing external services to the Internet. SNAT can also protect the backend servers on the intranet from exposing to the Internet, and only allows external servers to access backend servers actively connected to the external servers.</p>
