Quickly Create and Execute File Distribution Tasks

Through quickly executing (file distribution tasks), you can quickly create and execute file distribution tasks in batch on multiple hosts.

About this task

You can distribute files to multiple servers via the file distribution tasks. Currently, the distribution method of one-to-many is supported.

A maximum of 5 files of each batch can be distributed and the maximum size of each file is 500M.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Operation System Platform Console.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Job Management > Fast Execute.
  3. On the Fast execution page, select File distribution as the Task Type.
  4. After that, you need to complete the following configuration.

    Click Local Upload, and select files to be distributed from your computer. After that, the selected files will wait to be uploaded one by one.

    Note: A Maximum of 5 files can be distributed each time and the maximum size of each file is 500M.

    Target host

    • Method One: Select Host

      Click +Select host. On the Select host page that opens, tick one or more hosts, and then click Select.

    • Method Two: Import Host

      Click Fast Import. In the Host List field, enter host names or IP addresses, and then click Host match. If the matches succeed, click Confirm.

      Note: Type in IP or Host Name, separated by comma(,), semicolon(;), vertical bar(|), or line break( ).

    Windows directory

    Upload files to the directory where the host is stored (Windows).

    Linux directory

    Upload files to the directory where the host is stored (Linux).

    Overwrite the original file

    • If you tick the box, files with the same name will be overwritten.
    • If not, files will not be distributed to the host as file names already exist under the same directory, and abnormal information of the file will be reported.
  5. After finishing the configuration, click Distribute now.
    Note: If you click Save as, the task will be saved in the Task Management.

Results

After that, the system will jump to the File Distribution page. You can see the Task Overview, Distribution Progress, and Distribution Target Host .
