Set-up and Management

Quick creation of RDS: Users can create RDS instances after choosing the region and volume at the management console.

Manage RDS: Operations such as deleting, restarting, backing up, temporarily recovering and expanding RDS instances and changing their parameters can be completed through the console.

Safe console: The product provides a dedicated bastion host for users to easily use the database terminal, making it more flexible and controllable in managing RDS.

Setting Access Strategies

Domain name access control: With domain name as the access portal, an access control list (ACL) is provided for the domain name service, and only a tenant’s own VPC can access the domain name.

Set database security group: By defining the access whitelist, the database security group CDFW is used for access control at the bottom of the product. Only the IP or subnet authorized by the database whitelist is allowed to access the database.

SSL encrypted transmission: Users can choose to enable SSL connection between an application and the database, ensuring that full-link communications are encrypted.

Quick Capacity Expansion

Quick expansion of computing resources: The CPU and memory capacity can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis. At maximum, the product supports 16 core CPU and 128GB capacity.

Online expansion of storage space: The product not only supports limitless expansion of storage space, but also can properly deal with IO load emergencies through excellent IO extendibility.

Backup Management

Custom backup strategy: Users can customize the backup strategy and backup period.

Manual backup: The product supports manual backup at a certain time based on users' needs.

Temporary instance recovery: Instances can be recovered by accurate time or backup piece; the temporary instance can be accessed for free for 7 days to facilitate data verification and recovery.

The technical scheme of block-level backup is adopted to ensure the backup time is independent of data volume and that the backup is reliable.

Monitoring & Alarming

Monitoring services: The product provides multi-dimensional monitoring performance data for users for analysis and other uses.

Custom alarming strategy: Automatic alarming will be triggered when the indicator exceeds a certain threshold, which will remind users of potential risks and help users quickly locate and tackle problems.
